Since the District Councils’ decision to refuse our planning application last November the School has been in discussion with a number of its professional advisers. We have made the following decisions regarding our future planning application.

• Good building design and layout is clearly important to both the School and its neighbours. In this regard, we will be seeking a development partner who can address key planning and design issues.

• Site A will not form part of the revised application. (If you are not sure where site A was then click here to see where this was on the old plan which is now out of date)

• We will not provide a theatre for community use and will provide an increased percentage of affordable housing in its place.

We hope that these points will help to reassure our parents, friends and neighbours and confirm Friends’ School’s commitment to providing high quality education in Saffron Walden on our present site.
