- The fees are inclusive of normal expenses, including books, stationery, travel to sports fixtures and, in the case of boarders, laundry and ordinary medical attention. Fees for Public Examinations are charged as extras as they are incurred.
- Monthly Payment Scheme Fees are normally payable in full by the first day of each term. As an alternative, the school offers a scheme that enables parents to pay fees by monthly direct debit. Details of this scheme may be obtained from the Accountant. Fees may also be paid by credit card.
- Composition Fees. Under a Composition Fee Scheme the school will accept fees in advance giving a substantial discount. The acceptance by the school of such a fee does not, however, commit the school to the offer of a place in the school. Quotations for any number of years in advance, number of terms or fee will happily be given. Enquiries should be addressed to the Accountant.
- Pupils' Personal Accident Insurance Scheme compensating for Permanent Disability or Death. The Governors are concerned that all scholars are protected by adequate insurance, operative in the event of an accident for which the school cannot be held responsible. The scheme which has been selected relies on the majority of parents participating; the Governors, therefore, add this item to school bills unless specifically requested otherwise, in writing. The premium will be £4.95 per term and cover will commence on the first full day of term.
- Deposits. On acceptance of a place you will be asked to pay a deposit of £300 for Senior School pupils, £200 for Junior School pupils and £50 for those entering the Nursery. This will be held until your child leaves school.
- If you are resident outside the UK, you will normally be asked to pay one term's boarding fees in advance as a deposit. This will be returned when your child leaves school.
The School Accountant will be pleased to give more information on the above. Friends' School, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 3EB. UK Tel 01799 525351 Fax 01799 523808 email: bursar@friends.org.uk
