The annual ESOL trip took place from 7 - 9 May 2004. Fifteen of our overseas students spent the three days in York and Whitby, staying at the International Youth Hostel in York.

York Minster was particularly impressive because of its size and age, but the students also enjoyed learning about the Viking era at the Jorvik Centre. They had a picnic lunch on a boat on the river, explored the quaint old shops in the 'Shambles' and spent two evenings relaxing at 'York Megabowl'. This is the thrid summer trip to York that we have made over the past eight years and as expected was again very successful.

Thanks to Andy Jackson, Sheila and Tom Addy who accompanied the trip and helped with driving the minibuses and to Audrey Jackson for organising the trip.
