Students from Years 9 & 10 visited their Exchange partners in Bremerhaven. The 11 boys and 1 girl accompanied by their German teacher Peter Fasching spent seven days as guests of their partner students from the Lloydgymnasium in Bremerhaven. The group enjoyed a week packed with activities and trips. The VW headquarters in Wolfsburg, a visit to the local newspaper, the sea life zoo, the German Polar Research Institute and a visit to Bremen were just some of the highlights. For the students the most important aspect when asked what they enjoyed most was the close relationship that developed between them and their German partners. For the teachers it is always worth the effort when you witness friendships developing and communication in the target language becoming more effective. The final evening was celebrated with a party and a football match and there were lots of tears the next morning when we said goodbye to our friends.
