way of life, culture and history, and to enable them to
communicate effectively when in German speaking countries.
The study of German also develops the linguistic skills
which enable pupils to gain a better understanding of their
own and other languages."

Schule in Germany, with their pupils spending one
term each at Friends' School on rotation, which enhances
