Introduction to the Music Department

"Our aim is to make music accessible to all pupils with an emphasis on performing and composing. We strive to keep music live as well as keeping our students up-to-date with technological developments within the music industry."

Our department has:

• Three highly experienced, and successful classroom teachers.
  
• Eleven specialist peripatetic teachers encompassing the piano, voice, drum kit, guitar as well as the full range of orchestral instruments.


• A purpose built music block, including a large rehearsal space, keyboard lab, music technology room, recording studio, and 10 practice rooms.


• Regular concerts both in school and in prestigious locations.
  
• Excellent results at all levels including Associated Board Grade Exams.
• Up to date textbooks and resources for all pupils.
