Friends' School Wins the United Nations Quiz 2001

 

 

 

The 11th Strachan trophy quiz, run by the Saffron Walden and District Branch of the United Nations association was held on the 6th November. The teams contesting the trophy were Friends' School, Helena Romanes School, Saffron Walden County High School and Newport Free Grammar School. After an evening spent answering some very difficult questions on topics such as World History and Geography, World organisations, World leaders, Flags and the United Nations, the team from Friends' school, Ben Ball, Raza Anjum, Aaron Titmus and Leo Capella, emerged as winners with the County High and Helena Romanes in joint second place.
