Our very own Forest School

Situ­ated in a specially enclosed area at the back of the games fields, our outdoor classroom allows chil­dren to learn and explore within a wooded environment.

The Nurs­ery and Recep­tion class have had a wonder­ful time in their special forest school over­alls, making forest people in clay, creat­ing shel­ters and study­ing mini-beasts, all while discov­er­ing the chan­ging nature of their new outdoor classroom.

The Frest School philo­sophy is to encour­age and inspire chil­dren through posit­ive outdoor exper­i­ences, encour­aging play in natural spaces on a regu­lar basis and to develop inde­pend­ence, self-esteem and team work, all of which are import­ant and integ­ral to Friends’ and our Quaker ethos.
