Weekends
Some boarders will go home for the weekend but there is plenty to do for those who stay.
Weekends can be as busy or as relaxed as students choose. There is time for prep to be completed as well as time to take part in activities or to go out of school. We expect students to manage their time and to keep up to date with their work but they do not have to get up for breakfast and they can make their own later in the morning. We encourage them to use their time effectively and to make the most of the opportunities in school and locally. Students can go into Cambridge by bus or train, and can arrange to go into London with parental permission. Sixth Formers are also encouraged to take advantage of the extensive weekend activity programme which includes trips to the cinema, ice skating, bowling, shopping and to the theatre locally and in London. Many students choose to use the sports hall which is available for them during the weekend.
